IDEAS TO CONSIDER

  1. Make sure to verify the authenticity of the wallet application you are using.
    • If you are using Metamask: Verify the URL for MetaMask https://metamask.io that you are downloading from.
    • It is up to you, not StrongBlock, to download the correct and verified application.
    • StrongBlock is not responsible for you having downloaded a fake application or wallet.

  2. Use one device for your wallet.
    • This will prevent even keyloggers, which can circumvent many security measures you may have taken, from stealing your seed phrase and other vital information.
    • If you use several wallets, keep them locked when not using.

  3. Make sure to verify the wallet application if it asks for your seed phrase.
    • Seed phrases should only be entered into a trustworthy wallet.
    • Be aware of pop up wallet phishing scams. Never give out your secret recovery phrase, mnemonic, password, seed phrase, and/or other personal information to ANYONE. If someone asks for that information, they are a scammer. Those scammers will only steal from you if they get that private information.
    • Always stop and verify everything. If something does not feel right, do not proceed.

  4. Always use https://app.strongblock.com
    • DO NOT SEND YOUR TOKENS directly to any of our smart contracts. They can never be retrieved if you do.
